With its synth feel, this new easy-to-use VST plugin from Audiolatry really shines in funky electronic music.
Create simple, powerful basslines in seconds with Audiolatry’s FunkBass. The free instrument plugin is fast and light, loaded with eight presets to get you started in no time: finger, slap, pick, chorus, fretless, fuzz, bass, and sub.
The interface gives you seven dials to customize the sound to suit your own style. Filtered control the high/low cut, Gain and pan, attack and Release envelope and LFO modulation selection with speed and depth. You can also control the LFO type of wave, The source and destination. The wave type includes five types of waves: nothing, mod wheel, aftertouch and speed. The source includes four types of input sources: nothing, ground, expression and pan. The destination includes four LFO destinations: nothing, ground, expression and pan.
“If you’re looking for a virtual bass with tons of techniques, articulations, nuances and effects, FunkBass isn’t for you – there are already dozens of such commercial plugins on the market.” Audiolatry knows that a virtual instrument can never replace the real thing, but hopes that FunkBass’ simplified approach will provide the closest thing.
FunkBass supports DAWs and other plug-in host software on Windows 8.1/10 64-bit as a VST/VST3 plug-in, or macOS El Capitan to Mojave (not compatible with Catalina and later) as a plug-in -in VST/VST3/AU.
