New Syracuse University Libraries website improves user experience and accessibility

Campus & Community

Syracuse University Libraries has redesigned its website to stay current, improve the user experience with easier and more intuitive navigation to find information, improve accessibility, and align with the branding of the university.

The libraries incorporated survey feedback, anecdotal user feedback, a review of other academic library websites, and an analysis of website statistics to create a redesigned website for an optimal user experience. During the redesign process, the libraries incorporated several opportunities for the campus community to provide feedback. The new site has improved navigation, functionality, responsive design, content, and access to collections.

The new website is live and redirects ensure that users will be automatically directed to the new site. Several video tutorials are available to familiarize users with the new website. These are also posted on the website blog:

The Libraries website will continually evolve and improve. All suggestions can be submitted by email to [email protected] with the subject: website. Modifications or corrections will be followed by a resolution communicated to the publisher/requester.
