Working Solutions Launches New Website – Oneida Dispatch

Utica, NY – The Workforce Development Board, Herkimer, Madison and Oneida Counties, Inc. (WDB HMO), DBA Working Solutions, recently launched a new website that offers a wide range of free resources for job seekers and businesses .

In addition to a wide range of information and resources for job seekers and companies, the new website offers:

The ability for job seekers to search for jobs in six counties with our personalized job search link, view recent local job postings, and learn about free training grant programs and terms of eligibility.

· Users have the option to subscribe to the blog to be notified of new hiring events, free training/learning opportunities, new job opportunities, and the latest workforce news. Users can also subscribe to the monthly newsletter on the homepage of the website.

An online form for businesses to submit job openings for posting on the NYS Job Bank and local social media, a contact form for recruiting or training services, and the ability to view current information labor market and labor force surveys and news.

· A contact form for companies and job seekers to request the services of local sales representatives or local work solution centers.

The WDB HMO is part of the Public Workforce System, a network of federal, state, and local offices that support economic expansion and develop the talent of the nation’s workforce. Local Workforce Development Councils strive to strengthen the workforce by creating partnerships between business and workers that lead to long-term growth and prosperity for both.

WDB serves as a leader and catalyst for workforce development programs and services, and as a regional partner, creating impactful strategies to meet immediate and long-term workforce needs and the region’s economic development priorities.

Over the past 12 months, the WDB HMO has trained and provided job placement and other support services to over 500 people.
